Today I picked up the August/September issue of Complex magazine which features the G.O.O.D. Music crew and the beautiful Rita Ora. As you may know G.O.O.D. Music is preparing to release their debut compilation album entitled "Cruel Summer" which I think will live up to the hype. Complex interviews a few G.O.O.D. Music artists such as Pusha T, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Common and (affiliate) 2 Chainz who's verse on "Mercy" is catchy (even though his rhymes are not the most clever lol). The artists describe the process of making the album and how Kanye and his perfectionist ways help all them to be better artist. All the photography of the them in the magazine was taken by the great Nabil, who also directed the Mercy video. Make sure you check out more of his work at www.nabil.com.
The other half of the magazine features Rit Ora. The British singer has recently inked a deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation. You might have noticed her in Drake's "Over" video. Her debut album is set to release August 27th. With influences like Gwen Stefani, Monica, & Aaliyah in her music and working with producers/writers such as Will.I.Am, Drake, Kanye West, and The-Dream her album should be a solid piece of work.
