Losing a family member is hard, especially when you are close to them. My aunt was a wonderful woman and served the state of Michigan with dignity. She will be missed, but I know she's smiling down on us. Special thanks to the Michigan State Troopers who did a excellent job of showing respect to her.
Even though funerals are sad, they do bring family together. I saw family I haven't seen since 2004, even met uncles, aunts, and cousins for the first time. It was really good to be around family, and I know my aunt will is proud to see us all together.
